The Bodhicharya France organization, which is under the spiritual authority of Venerable Ringu Tulku Rinpoche, has acquired a centre in the Vosges (North-East of France) enabling the development of the Dharma to take place in a quiet environment, favouring the practice of meditation. This center is the main place of Ringu Rinpoche’s activities for the whole of France.

The centre is supervised by the resident Lama, Lama Tsultrim Gelek. Any monk, nun or lay person who wishes to live in a Dharma centre for a long or for a shorter period of time  is welcome. The centre can welcome up to 50 participants to the week-ends of Dharma study and practice, to the retreats and teachings which are regularly organized. The centre also invites Tibetan Masters (Rinpoches) such as Ringu Rinpoche or Mogchok Rinpoche.

The location of the centre is remote but easily accessible. Indeed, it is located at 18 km only from the closest TGV (high speed train) station, namely Saint-Dié-Des-Vosges station. It is only a one-hour car ride from Strasbourg, Nancy, Colmar, and a one hour-and-a half ride from Mulhouse. The centre is open to anyone, buddhist or not, who wishes to go on a retreat to reload oneself spiritually.

Please note that:
    •    animals are not accepted
    •    the meals are vegetarian
    •    intoxicants are prohibited
    •    smoking is forbidden within the centre and around it

There are meditation sessions every day except on mondays, in the morning, at noon and in the evening

The current goals of the centre are :
    •    organizing retreat periods
    •    setting up a monastic Sangha
    •    inviting masters for teachings

As a result of the centre renovation, we provide you with new and quiet rooms for one to two people. We do try to do our best to satisfy your request for a single room but we can't guarantee granting your wishes systematically and we might have to accomodate two people per room.

When all the rooms are occupied, we propose beds in the dormitory with communal toilets and showers.

All three meals can be taken at the centre . Group meditations take place every day except on mondays, in the morning, at noon and in the evening and are open to anyone who wishes to participate. There is also a shop selling books, texts and other Dharma-related material. The library is available to the members of Bodhicharya France only.
